Angelique Louie, a professor of biomedical engineering; Jared Shaw, an assistant professor of chemistry: and Yohei Yokobayashi, a associate professor biomedical engineering, won a million Keck Foundation award on January 31, 2014. They’re trying to develop probes — chemical agents, small molecules or nanoparticles — that can bind to plaques, and allow them to be seen.
