Opening for a postdoctoral researcher

The Shaw group has an opening for a postdoctoral researcher to work on a collaborative project involving small molecule synthesis for SAR and medicinal chemistry. Candidates should have a strong background in the execution of multi-step syntheses and the characterization of organic molecules. The successful applicant will become part of a large, multi-disciplinary team working with PIs at another UC campus and will contribute to the design and testing of new molecules to inhibit a biological target. In addition to the collaborative project, there will be opportunities to work on side projects involving new synthetic methodology.

Instructions:

1) Send CV, research summary (two pages maximum), and cover letter to Prof. Jared Shaw (jtshaw@ucdavis.edu). The cover letter should mention that the application is in response to the listing at the top of this page (JTSPD_2021).

2) Arrange for two letters of recommendation to be sent directly from the letter writers to Prof. Shaw. Candidates who send letters will not be considered.

Applications are considered complete once the steps above are complete. Incomplete applications will not be considered and their receipt will not be acknowledged with any follow up communication.
